Reopening plan for schools: New dates for WASSCE and BECE

The Ministry of Education has released reopening plan for final year students in Ghana.

The Government of Ghana recently announced reopening of schools and universities for final year students to enable them prepare for their examinations.

The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo declared this in his 10th update on measures taken against the COVID-19 pandemic on 31st May, 2020.

New dates for BECE and WASSCE

The Ministry of Education, in an infographic, announced the new dates for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

BECE shall commence from September 14 to September 18, 2020 while WASCCE shall commence from August 3 to September 4, 2020.
