Windows 11 devices now have the ability to run native Android apps via the Microsoft app store. There is a small catch since not all apps found on the Google Play Store could be run on the new Windows 11.
Currently, Windows 10 users are able to run Android apps on their PC but only through the latest version of the Your Phone app. While the Android apps on Windows 10 run only via Your Phone app, Windows 11 devices will be able to run Android apps natively. However, only the apps available on the Amazon app store will be able to run on Windows 11. This is as a result of a partnership between Microsoft and Amazon.
About 500,000 apps found on the Amazon app store such as Uber, TikTok, Netflix, Pinterest etc will be able to run out of the box. In order to get access to these Android apps, you have to install the Amazon Appstore app and sign in to your Amazon account.
The experience is similar as apps run in portrait mode as they normally do on android phones. You can even snap the app window side by side with your native desktop apps.
