The National Teaching Council has launched an e-learning portal to enable teachers to enroll and gain Professional Development (PD) points. Most teachers have had their course progress stuck at 98% or a particular percentage even after successfully passing the quiz. In this article, I will provide simple fix to enable teachers complete their courses to show 100% progress to reflect in their PD points.
To begin with, if you have not yet registered for the NTC e-learning portal, do so by clicking on this link to follow the steps to register. After registration, login with your email and password.
Once you are logged in, click on the menu at the top right corner to access available courses.
Fixing progress stuck at a particular percentage
If you have already started a course but stuck at a particular percentage, follow these steps:
Firstly complete all activities found in each lesson. Once each activity is completed, mark it as done. At the end of each lesson is a mandatory activity labelled as “To do” and right next to it shows the activity you are to perform. For example, To do: View or To do: Start discussions. You are required to perform the activity.
To do: View means you are to view a particular document. This may be a link to download a document or a link to a video tutorial. To do: Start discussions also means you are to participate in forum discussions by clicking on the link right on top of it. Then all you have to do is create a topic and submit.
Mandatory activity not completed
Once you do the mandatory activity, it should change colour from grey to green as shown in the images below:
Make sure you follow the procedures for all the lessons. Finally, you can take the quiz for the course and submit your answers to attain 100% status. This will instantly increase your PD points in your TPG account.
